Tigers of the week for Match #7
A Tiger of the Week is someone who not only worked hard in that weeks practices, but showed improvement in his/her wrestling. Wins or losses doesn't necessarily have anything to do with who gets picked. The LYW coaches will pick 7 Tigers of the Week for each match. |

Match # 7 - GARRETT BILL
INTERVIEW Interviewer - Tell me about your matches today. Garrett - I thought I got cheated out on one. The other one I got a pin in 23 seconds. Interviewer - Do you have any goals set as far as next week's Cen-Penn Tournament? Garrett - Yea, I want to be a Cen-Penn Champion! Interviewer - Who is one of your heros? Garrett - My mom & dad Interviewer - Why? Garrett - Because my dad works really hard, and my mom gives me alot of guidance in different things Interviewer - If you could wrestle anyone, who would it be & why? Garrett - My brother. I think I could beat him FOOTNOTE: Garrett finished the 2002 regular season(his 1st year ever) with an impressive 19-4 record!

Match #7 - JACOB KING
INTERVIEW Interviewer - Tell me about your matches today. Jacob - I was really, really good. I tried my best, but I didn't win. I know that trying your best is what counts. Interviewer - Are you ready for the Cen-Penn Tournament, and how do you think you'll do? Jacob - Yes, I am ready. I hope I do good Interviewer - Who is one of your heros? Jacob - What do you mean? Interviewer - Is there anyone in particular that you really look up to? Jacob - I don't know. I can't think of anyone right now. FOOTNOTE: Jacob gave an outstanding effort each time he wrestled this year(his first in wrestling). Look for big things from Jacob as becomes more & more experienced in the sport of wrestling. |

Match # 7 - JOSHUA LOMBARD
INTERVIEW Interviewer - How's your knee healing, Josh? Josh - Oh, it's feeling a little better. I hope to be back to 100% before the start of baseball. Interviewer - Who is your #1 hero, and why? Josh - My mom & dad because they help me with my homework and school, and a bunch of other stuff. Interviewer - What do you hope to grow up to be? Josh - A proffessional football player. Interviewer - Who are some of your favorite friends? Josh - Matt Koontz & Ryan Collins Interviewer - Do you have a favorite saying? Josh - Yes, Do the best that you can. Even if your not the best, just keep trying FOOTNOTE: Josh hurt his knee half way through the season and was forced to miss the last half. LYW wishes Josh, who we consider one of our strongest wrestlers, a quick recovery. Although he was greatly missed in the last few matches, we are excited knowing Josh will be back next year to be one of LYW's leaders. |
Match # 7 - CAMDEN ORNDORFF
INTERVIEW Interviewer - How did you like wrestling this year and what was the best part? Camden - Good. The best part was being tiger of the week. Interviewer - Who is your #1 hero? Camden - My mom & dad Interviewer - What's your favorite movie? Camden - Jurasic Park Interviewer - What do you hope to grow up to be? Camden - A football player Interviewer - How do you think you'll do at the league tournament? Camden - I hope great! FOOTNOTE: Camden wrestled this season as one of our rookie bantams. He missed match #7 due to the flu, but was picked as one of our tigers in large part because of the 100% effort he gave each time he wrestled this season. Nobody tried any harder, and nobody deserved to be a tiger any more, then Camden did! |

Match # 7 - NATHANIEL POST
INTERVIEW Interviewer - Who are some of your heros, Nathaniel? Nate - Cal Ripken & Coach Beaver Interviewer - Why's that? Nate - Because he's a fun coach. Interviewer - What do you hope to grow up to become? Nate - A proffessional baseball player Interviewer - What is your favorite school subject & why? Nate - I would have to say math, because I like adding stuff together Interviewer - How about movies. Do you have a favorite? Nate - I liked Ritchy Rich Interviewer - OK, who are some of your favorite friends? Nate - I would have to say Allen Chrismer & Ryan Vaughn FOOTNOTE:Nathaniel had an outstanding season this year, ending with a winning record. He has racked up 16 wins in his two years of wrestling! |
MATCH # 7 - THOMAS SHOWVAKER
INTERVIEW Interviewer - First off, how are you doing with the healing process of your broken elbow? Thomas - Good. I am getting very close to the end of it being completely healed. Recently, I began practicing drills in wrestling again Interviewer - What are your goals in wrestling in the years to come? Thomas - Simply to do the best I can Interviewer - Who are your heros? Thomas - My mom & dad Interviewer - If you could wrestle anybody, who would it be & why? Thomas - Trevor Byers because he's such a great wrestler, and he knows so much about wrestling. FOOTNOTE:Thomas , a 2X Cen-Penn Champ, was missed in a big way this season. We are very encouraged, however, to see that he will eventually be 100% recovered. We look forward to seeing Thomas's return on Littlestown mats next season! |

Match # 7 - SETH WREN
INTERVIEW Interviewer - Tell me about your matches today. Seth - It was frustrating cause I had the other kid on his back but I got caught in a move and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it out or not Interviewer - You came back and beat him though, right? Seth - Yes, I won 6-2 Interviewer - Who is one of your heros? Seth - My cousin DJ Cool. He wrestles Cory Beaver Interviewer - What do you going to be when your grown up? Seth - I hope to be a football player or a baseball player cause I've been practicing them for a really long time Interviewer - I know from talking with other coaches that you have an outstanding arm as a pitcher and quarterback. You have really excelled in those sports. Do you like wrestling as much as football & baseball? Seth - Yes, because you get the same feeling when you win FOOTNOTE:Seth would like to thank his uncle Dave for helping him improve in wrestling as much as he has. (Seth went from 3-13 last year, to 12-6 this year) |
