Garrett has pulled off some amazing wins over much more experienced wrestlers this year, and almost did it again in his third match. With the score nearly tied, Garrett got caught & pinned only because of his inexperience. If I were this guy, I'd be looking over my shoulder come the league championships, because Garrett is coming in a hurry. I can't wait to see Garrett get revenge!!!

AARON BORTNER

Although I predicted a good season from this outstanding athlete when I found out he was coming out for wrestling, he has been better then I thought. Can you believe a first year junior going 8-3 in his first 11 matches? His only three losses were all to experienced wrestlers. Imagine how good Jacob is going to get after he gets experience on his side.........WOW!!!

Jacob has wrestled hard in every one of his matches. If you take what Jacob already has and mix it with experience, you get an undefeated wrestler. Jacob is currently working on that experience. Just wait and see what this kid accomplishes once he gets more of it.

The loss Ryan suffered was something you will see Ryan avenge in the future, maybe as soon as this year. The reason I feel so confident saying that is because I know how determined Ryan is to becoming the best. Whenever I see a wrestler with that kind of attitude, I usually also see him reach his goal.

Blake became one of our TIGERS OF THE WEEK after getting his 7th win, and 6th pin. I knew how much Blake was learning and improving from his older brothers wrestling knowledge, I just didn't expect him to turn into a pin specialist like he has.

Talk about a smooth wrestler! If I would have had as smooth and quick of a shot as Colby has, I may have won states way back when. Winning states is a goal Colby should set, because with a ton of hard work, I believe he has the natural ability to do it someday.

Corbin lost his first match of the year in heartbreaking fashion. He hurt his shoulder in a hard fought win in his first bout, but decided to try to wrestle bout #2 anyway. Understandibly, he wasn't the same due to the aching shoulder, and lost. No need to hang your head about that. Just heal fast, and start a new streak, Corbin

SETH WREN

I am as proud of Seth as I've ever been of any wrestler I've coached. In the last three meets, Seth has responded to a personal challenge to try harder, like none I've ever seen. He has become a completely different wrestler in that time, going 7-2 since that challenge was issued. You can be proud of yourself, Seth! I know all us coaches are! KEEP IT UP!

Don't be fooled by that 2-5 loss Tyler had. It was an exhibition match against a kid who weighed 12 pounds more then Tyler. Tyler is just fine, sitting 13-0 against kids in his weight bracket.
